All our products are not mass-produced but are individually handmade and may differ slightly from one to the next.

Silk is a natural product and may contain natural irregularities during the hand weaving and hand stitching process.

This is what makes handcrafted products so beautiful, individual and unique.

Silk is highly prized for its softness, insulating properties and strength.

Hand-woven silk is expensive to make, is of high luxurious quality and elegance, and each thread is individually selected.

Please take all this into consideration when you purchase your high quality individual product.

Return Policy

We want to please you and believe in taking care of all our customers.

We are devoted to bringing you a wide range of handcrafted products that you can fall in love with.

We bring to you elegance,quality and style.

Because we are confident of our products, we operate a money back guarantee on all our handbags and accessories.

All we ask is that you follow the terms and conditions set out below:

Should you not be completely happy with your purchase you may return it to us for a refund of the cost of the item(s), this does not include the cost of the postage and packaging.

You need to do this at any time up to the end of the seventh working day from the date you received the ordered item(s).

You need to notify us in writing by post or email that you have chosen to do this.

The item(s) need to be returned to Satins and Silks and with receipt (returns will not be accepted after 7 days).

We cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items in the post.

Please make sure you provide adequate insurance cover.

The product must be returned unused and in the original condition you received it in, with all original packaging and no signs of wear and tear.

All items dispatched from Satins and Silks are inspected beforehand.

We cannot refund items that have been tampered with, had the tags removed or been used, including cigarette smoke damage.

Used products cannot be credited back.

You need to contact us by email info@satinsandsilks.co.uk, or by post at Satins and Silks, 4, Glendale Gardens, Low Fell, Gateshead NE9 4SA to advise us that you intend to return your item(s).

You need to complete a Return Formand sent back with your receipt and returned item(s) to the above address.

Statutory Rights

Your statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy

Refund Policy

Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of returns.

Stock

We strive to support Cottage Industry and Fair-trade.

Almost all of our stock is paid for before they are made, and always before we ever receive them.

We believe that workers should be paid fairly and on time and also so that they can afford to purchase their materials up front.

Should an item you have ordered be out of stock you will be contacted with an estimated delivery date. Should you not be happy with the date you have the option to cancel your order. Although this is unlikely to happen, we believe it is only fair to express such terms in case circumstances beyond our control do occur.

Delivery

Satins and Silks aim to dispatch within 48 hours of receipt of payment.

We are sorry we cannot deliver to another address other than the billing address given by you on our secure online payment page.

Delivery to the UK is made by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.

We offer a standard shipping and packaging charge of 5.00 for the products ordered regardless of parcel size.

We have an offer where you can order up to 4 products for the same shipping/packaging charge of 5.00.


Customers from the USA and Canada

We ship by Royal Airmail.

Please allow your item to take approximately 6-7 working days to arrive.

We offer a standard shipping and packaging charge of 12.00 for the products regardless of parcel size.

We have an offer where you can order up to 4 products for the same standard shipping/packaging charge of 12.00.


Customers from Europe

We ship by Royal Airmail.

Please allow your item to take approximately 3-5 working days to arrive.

We offer a standard shipping and packaging charge of 10.00 for the products regardless ofparcel size.

We have an offer where you can order up to 4 products for the same standard shipping and packaging charge of 10.00.


Ordering and Security

Ordering online is simple, just click the buy button for the item(s) you want.

You will then be taken to our secure order pages, which include secure payment.

To ensure you are secure all online payments are made through Paypal, a well known online payment processor.

Security is shown in your browser by either a locked padlock icon or a key.

Customer data that is collected is only for information required to process customer orders.

We do not keep any details of customer credit cards or see any such information during the processing procedure.

Transaction bank details are invisible to us and occur between your bank and Paypal.

Your privacy is of the highest importance to us, and we would never to release your personal details to any outside company for mailing or marketing purposes. We do not disclose any information about you to a third party.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted inaccordance with English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between yourself and Satins and Silks in the event that this should occur.
